About Me

Hi all! My name is Shannon! I am a twenty-something wife and mama, living in Seattle, WA.

I met my husband back in our college days at WSU. We've been together for over 5 years and are about to celebrate our FIRST wedding anniversary in October. He makes me laugh everyday and like all couples we have our ups and downs, but I can't imagine anyone else by my side.

I'm a Mama to our 16-month old, Hannah and expecting Baby #2 in early February! Being a mom is by far my favorite role yet, and I honestly can't imagine my life without my sweet girl. I have the privilege of being a stay at home mom, and while it is the toughest job, it is the most rewarding and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Before taking on my new role as stay-at-home-mom, I was a part-time nanny and a full-time Graduate student, earning a Master's degree in Elementary Education. My degree took a backseat when we found out I was pregnant and I am currently working on my last project to finish up! While I don't have any plans to get back into the workforce anytime soon, my goal is to get on the substitute list and sub 1-2 days a week. I'm certainly not eager to be away from my babies but, I think staying current in my profession is a good idea, and some adult interaction throughout the week couldn't hurt. ;)

I love football, specifically the Seahawks, the Jets and the Washington State Cougs! Fall is my favorite season, followed closely by Winter. Having my nails done makes me feel more "put together". I can't leave the house without chapstick. I love to be crafty and creative, but hardly have time for it anymore. I love being organized...I can't stand clutter or mess. I love to travel. I love new experiences and adjust to change really well (I can never understand why people get so upset over Facebook and Iphone updates). My husband and I both come from big families; I have 3 siblings and he has 4 siblings. Being use to big families, we plan to have at least two more babies after G makes his appearance. I could spend hours watching HGTV. I drink an unhealthy amount of diet coke, whoops! And it's pretty apparent if you come visit our summer home, but my family has an obsession with everything Jimmy Buffett.
