How far along? 35 weeks. 32 more days to go!
Size and growth of Baby Hannah? Little miss is about 5.25 pounds and 18 inches long...think honeydew melon. Nearly all of her major organs are completely developed. She spends the next few weeks packing on the pounds and growing. :)
Maternity Clothes? Barely. I randomly turned a corner in my pregnancy this week. Suddenly I am SO uncomfortable and barely fitting into anything. Noah's wardrobe has become my own...seriously, most evenings you can find me lounging in a pair of his basketball shirts and over-sized undershirts. I'm not willing to go out and spend money on clothes that I will only wear for 4 more weeks, so I'm making do with what I've got.
Weight Gain? 1 pound up since last week...right on track at a total of 33 pounds gained. Stretch Marks? Nope! Crossing my fingers it lasts through the next 4 weeks!
Gender? All girly girl.
Movement? Oh yes...she head butt's my hip and pelvic bones constantly. She's running out of room, so her movements are becoming slightly more uncomfortable and painful. I can tell she's excited to almost get out of there. :)
Sleep? Sleep is still iffy. I'm exhausted all the time, so I have no problem falling asleep...however its the endless bathroom breaks and flip-overs throughout the night that are tiring. It's incredibly difficult to move with this giant belly and being tired does not help matters...I've had to wake Noah up to help give me a shove out of bed a couple times. Good thing he's a good sport and doesn't mind being woken up...we'll see if that changes when its our crying baby needing to eat every 2 hours throughout the night. ;)
Food Cravings/Aversions? Still no aversions. Still craving chocolate milk. This past week I have been craving mustard like CRAZY. Strangest craving, ever. I could eat it on almost anything. Also, I've been craving anything cold and dairy...such as yogurt. Love that stuff.
What I Miss? Not anything in particular. I do miss my old body...Kelly posted a picture of me back when I just barely started showing and I remember thinking back then how big I felt and looked. If only I could have seen the future... I also miss not being constantly uncomfortable...I hate complaining, but it's getting pretty tough...everything just hurts all the time. But on the other hand...I only have 4 more weeks left and as excited as I am to have my munchkin in my arms, I know I am going to miss this time when she is safe in my belly and I have her all to myself.....that sounds a little selfish...I'll be sure to share her when she comes out, but I know I will miss this time.
Symptoms? The usual heartburn, leg cramps and exhaustion. This week I have also been feeling really crampy (think really bad period cramps) and I have been having A LOT of contractions. More on this below...
Best Moment of the Week? I finished washing all of Hannah's newborn-6 months clothes, blankets, sheets, and towels. It was a long process but it's done and everything is put away just waiting for our little one. Noah also finished setting up all our registry gift items that we received! Our room is all babied out now...just waiting for Hannah to move in.
Worst Moment of the Week? I had a doctors appointment today (first of my weekly appointments!) and we have some slightly worrisome news. I mentioned my cramping, contractions and other symptoms (I will spare you the details) and the doctor is very worried that I will go into pre-term labor. He was even too afraid to check my cervix to see if I was dilated because he thought he would set off my labor. He's hoping I can hold out for another 10 days, at least. So I've been put on "as close as possible to bed rest" for the remainder of my pregnancy....which of course is difficult. Who wants to just hang out in bed all day? But the alternative would be very scary and I definitely want Hannah to have a little more cooking time. We haven't even done our baby classes yet, so the rest of my appointment was spent teaching me the "5-1-1" rule of contractions and when to get to labor and delivery....kind of an eye opener at how soon everything could happen! Where did the last 8 and a half months go?!
So think some good thoughts that Hannah decides to stay in there for a little longer and I'll be sure to keep everyone updated on our status!
Other Thoughts? I'm overwhelmed today...obviously the bed rest news wasn't the best...but I feel like I still have so much to do before she comes and the thought that I could go into labor early never really crossed my mind. My doctor advised packing hospital bags this week...which is something I was planning to do in another 2-3 weeks...so I'm a little stressed about what else needs to get done before Hannah makes her debut!
